On November 14, 2022, Cube Post came to the attention of BBB.  This investigation was prompted by our scam tracker report. BBB contacted the company to obtain updated information including a contact person, their start date and their hiring practices.  Some consumers alleged they were contacted by several individuals for employment offers that they did not apply for.  Some consumers were offered $2,200 per month and shipping bonuses but did not get paid. Some consumers, when tried to reach them by phone or email, can no longer contact them.  BBB contacted the company's Human Resource Department at 1-888-576-4605 (3), but connection failed.

Based on the information detailed above, BBB cannot state with confidence that we have a clear understanding of the business model or practice.

On November 14, 2022, BBB confirmed by the City of Port Coquitlam that the address at 2 1615 Industrial Ave, Port Coquitlam, BC listed on Cube Post's website is not real.

BBB is recommending the following tips to jobseekers who receive unsolicited communication about a job offer from an unknown company:

*Always be wary of work-from-home or secret shopper positions, or any job with a generic title such as caregiver, administrative assistant, or customer service rep. Scammers may use positions that don't require special training or licensing to attract potential applicants.
*You may be an excellent candidate for the job, but beware of offers made without an interview. A real company will want to talk to a candidate before hiring.
*Don't fall for an overpayment scam. No legitimate job would ever overpay an employee and ask for money to be wired elsewhere.
*Be cautious sharing any personal information or accepting any kind of prepayment.
*Report to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at https://www.antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca/report-signalez-eng.htm or by phone 1 888 495 8501.
*Report to your local police.
*Contact Equifax Canada at 1 800 465 7166 or https://www.consumer.equifax.ca/personal/
*Contact TransUnion Canada at 1 800 663 9980 or https://www.transunion.ca/
