In December of 2018 Better Business Bureau serving CT (BBB) opened an investigation of the business practices of Ineedamousepad.com as a result of consumer complaints that were filed in a relatively short period of time. Specifically, BBB looked into claims that the business failed to send products but when they did, they were of inferior quality. Additionally, the business was identified as being unresponsive to emails and phone calls when consumers attempted to have these issues addressed. During the course of this investigation the business’ website and social media pages were reviewed as they are an online only business. The company website revealed a privacy policy that does not include how personal information is collected, used, or stored. Further, the only methods of contact provided were an email address and a phone number leaving consumers with no information about a return address or exact location of the business. The return and refunds section of the site indicates only that items can be returned within 60 days and that, “Our Products are 100% guaranteed” without any details of what this 100% guarantee covers or includes. Before providing any personal or payment information, BBB recommends that consumers first research the business in question in order to identify and understand their policies and procedures, specifically those involving the remedy of any potential problems. It is additionally recommended that this research include the identification of sufficient contact information and the reading of any available reviews.
