On December 07, 2022, BBB requested background information from the business including names of all principals involved in the company, any applicable licensing or registration, copies of marketing materials, proposals and agreements, and affiliates in which the company has done business with. As of January 4, 2023, the business has not responded to BBB’s request for information.
On May 22, 2023 BBB confirmed that the business is not registered with the Pennsylvania Department of State as is required by PA law.
Pattern of Complaints
The Better Business Bureau of Western PA is urging consumers to use caution when considering doing business with Restano Backflow Testing.
According to BBB files, records show that the company has a pattern of complaints concerning consumers claiming that they paid the company to do their backflow testing, but that after the test was done the paperwork was not submitted to the water authority. On December 7, 2022 the BBB contacted the company in regards to our concerns about the amount and the pattern of complaints we have received. Unfortunately the business did not respond.
While the business is not currently responding to complaints, it is important to report any issues to the BBB’s complaint resolution dept. You can also file a complaint with the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office here, or contact your local police department if you suspect fraud. The BBB will continue to monitor any incoming complaints received.
